We love to...

  • Have tummy time
  • Play in our classroom and interact with children our age!
  • Paint and enjoy sensory activities
  • Read stories, sing stories, and listen to music
  • Go outside and on stroller rides!

A little bit about our class!

  • Diapers are checked and changed every two hours or as needed
  • Each child is on his/her own feeding plan, and fed as needed.
  • Daily reports are sent home each day! These reports inform parents of the following: What and how much was eaten, when diapers were changed, when naps and what activities were during the day.
  • Formula and food can be provided by the center. Parents can choose to bring in formula and/or food. UDCC serves Gerber Good Start Gentle formula and store bought jar baby food, cereal, and crackers.
  • Lesson Plans are created monthly and developed based on children’s interest and developmental levels. Individual goals are also created monthly and worked on throughout the month. Some goals that are worked on in the classroom are: lifting head, supported sitting, waving goodbye, standing alone, saying mama and dada, etc.
  • Staff follow an Infant Safe Sleep Position Policy and always places infants on their backs in cribs. This policy states that an infant will be placed in his/her crib when sleeping. We follow the recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Consumer Safety Commission for safe sleep environments to reduce the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.
